Hi, I’m Ashley.
I’m a textile artist and educator based in Japan. Art was my safe place growing up. It helped me make sense of big feelings. It gave me space to test ideas. It showed me that effort mattered more than being “right.” That belief shapes everything I teach.
Studio ARRT Club is an online art membership for children. It’s not craft time. It’s not pressure-filled instruction. It’s a guided learning space where kids learn art skills and are encouraged to think for themselves.
I teach how things work.Your child decides what to do with that knowledge.
Who This Is For:
Studio ARRT Club is for parents who notice their child’s creativity
and want to let it thrive naturally and with care.
Maybe your child loves learning but gets frustrated when they don’t understand right away.
Maybe they want clear steps, but they also want room to explore.
Maybe they care deeply about doing things “well” and feel discouraged when it doesn’t come easily.
OR your child might have so many ideas, they don’t know where to start!
This is for families who want:
Skill-building without pressure
Structure that feels safe, not rigid
Encouragement without comparison
Art that supports thinking, not copying
A note for families learning English:
Many of our members are building English skills while learning art. Lessons are spoken clearly with strong visual support. Kids practice listening, following multi-step instructions, and expressing ideas—all while creating something they're proud of. Art makes language learning feel natural, not like work.
Most students are between ages 5–12, but what matters more than age is curiosity and willingness to try.
No art experience is needed.
Where Kids Are Now →
Where They Grow
Many children come to Studio ARRT Club feeling one of two things:
Some feel stuck. They want to know the “right way” and shut down when they don’t. Others have ideas but no structure. They feel unsure how to begin or finish.
Studio ARRT Club sits right in the middle.
Kids learn skills step by step. They also learn that changing the idea is allowed.
Over time, they move from:
“I don’t know how” to “Let me try it my way.”
That shift matters.

Why This Works for Different Kinds of Kids
For children who want structure:
They are shown how something works. That knowledge builds confidence.
For children who want freedom:
They are given permission to adapt and explore.
For perfectionists:
They learn that frustration is part of learning, not a failure.
For imaginative explorers:
They learn how skills give their ideas more power.
The teacher guides. The child decides.
Overtime parents often notice:
more willingness to try
stronger focus and follow-through
pride in decisions, not just results
Confidence grows as understanding grows.
What parents may experience before:
Before joining, many kids:
hesitate to begin
compare their work to others
give up quickly when something feels hard
What Families Are Saying
“My son loves it all and looks forward to meeting you online.” - Yuca
“My kids enjoy learning new ways of drawing that they didn’t know before the most, and both my sons and I love how cute and funny it is when the puppet talks and assists during the lessons.” - Mika
“My children really enjoy the overall experience. They love the teacher, the puppets, and the activities. They also enjoy learning new techniques, and they feel proud of what they create. My son used to say things like, ‘I can’t draw this’ or ‘I can’t draw that,’ but now I can see him noticing more details and enjoying drawing.” - Manami
