The table has colorful printed materials, papers, scissors, and mugs on it. One woman in a striped shirt is taking notes, and the two women in the foreground are writing or drawing on sheets of paper.

Hey there! I’m Ashley Rodriguez Reed, an artist, designer, and educator who’s been making art (and messes) for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I spent hours coloring, building forts, and creating chaotic projects that drove my mom nuts. But art wasn’t just fun—it was a refuge, a way to process the world and stay open to curiosity and wonder.

That belief still drives me today. I know how easy it is to let self-doubt or perfectionism bury your creativity, but here’s the truth: we are all creators. My goal is to help you grow that natural creative urge and embrace the joy of making.

I have a BFA in Printmaking and an MFA in Fiber & Material Studies, but my biggest lessons came from experimenting, making mistakes, and letting go of fear. I’ve taught, exhibited, and sold my work internationally, and now I create from my home studio in Japan, inspired by my kids, my travels, and the textures of the world around me.

In my workshops, I encourage play, experimentation, and getting messy—because creativity isn’t about being “good” at something, it’s about showing up, making marks, and trusting the process. If you’re ready to let go and create freely, let’s do it together!
