Art Classes with Ashley
このクラスで行うこと
ここでは、絵を描いたり、作品を作ったり、切ったり貼ったりといった創作活動を楽しむだけでなく
想像力を働かせながら会話を楽しみ、積極的に質問することも大切にしています。
毎回のレッスンでは、アート、言語、STEAM（科学、技術、工学、芸術、数学）を組み合わせ
子どもたちが自由な発想でのびのびと自己表現できるように導きます。
このクラスでお子さまが学べること
英語での話、説明を聞きながら作品を作る環境で、英語の語彙を自然に学びます
• 多面的なプロジェクトを通じて、科学、自然、数学的な視点を広げます
• 文化と想像力を大切にしたアート作品を制作します
• 集中力、忍耐力、問題解決能力を育みます
• アイディアを共有し、他者の話を思いやりを持って聞く姿勢を育てます

水曜日：4:00–5:00pm または 5:15–6:15pm
オンライン (Zoom – 6月12日開始)
木曜日：4:00–4:55pm または 5:00-5:55pm
（どちらも日本時間）
6月のテーマ：あじさいと下田
第1週 講師の都合により休講
第2週 あじさいと歴史
第3週 宝の地図を作ろう！
第4週 いろんな海の生き物を描こう！

講師について
こんにちは！アーティストであり、テキスタイルデザイナーのアシュリーです。日本で3人のバイリンガルの子どもを育てる母でありながら、15年以上にわたりアート指導を続けています。私は、子どもたちが自分の手を使って制作を楽しみ、心と頭を育むアート教育を大切にしています。アートは世界を学ぶ入り口であり、すべての教科と繋がっています。制作を通して「これは何？」「なんでこうなっているんだろう？」などという好奇心を育み、自分の思いや考えを表現する力を引き出します。
1人ひとりに合ったペースで、じっくりと創造の時間を楽しめる場を提供しています。

Learn art and build confidence in a fun and supportive space!
What We Do in Art Class:
We paint, draw, print, build, cut, collage and most of all, we imagine, share stories, and ask questions!
Each class blends art, language, and STEAM-based exploration, helping kids connect ideas and express their own.
Your child will:
Learn English vocabulary through storytelling and making
Explore science, nature, and math through creative projects
Create meaningful artwork rooted in culture and imagination
Build focus, patience, and problem-solving skills
Share ideas and listen to others with kindness

About Ashley
Hello! I’m Ashley, an artist, textile designer, and mother raising three bilingual children here in Japan. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I teach art from a perspective that culture, language, and hands on learning is a great way to develop our hearts and minds. Art allows us to learn about the world around us and that includes ALL subjects. While we make with our hands, we can create from the heart and get curious about why the world is the way it is. Every class is an invitation to slow down, create, and connect.
